Location: is the hotel location good for you? Sometimes it can be in a nice area but not good for the purpose of your trip. Keep in mind that in expensive cities or popular destinations such as Paris, Amsterdam, or London, hotels far from the city center or from famous landmarks tend to be cheaper. Transportation: a hotel gets extra points when it’s close to public transportation or when it is easy to get from/to airport or train stations. If you are booking a resort or a luxury stay, don’t forget to check if they offer transfer or pick-up service. Amenities and services: does the hotel have a swimming pool, a gym, or a restaurant? Do you need all these? Or is it better to book a small hotel with fewer amenities and better prices?

Treat Me Wellington is proving very popular being TradeMe’s hometown. On their launch day they sold around 15,000 bagels in Wellington for $1. Keep an eye on TreatMe! This is great news for NZ consumers as there are now four sites offering voucher deals for services and entertainment. One day out promises to be a popular daily deals site. Unfortunately in 2011 1dayout was closed down, but you can check out other Grab a Deal sites. The year of 2012 saw seem some new daily deal categories launch, most notably Grocery Deals. Grocery and Supermarket Deals provide much needed discounts on food and household items we buy every week. It’s a bit of a diversion from lifestyle products that are bought on impulse. The amount of Coupon Deals sold has continued to grown well in 2013. Several sites have dropped off, but overall spend is up. Groceries are things we are buying anyway, but the online format and limited time means that we can grab some great deals.
Well organised as already said. Ivan was our tour guide and he was outstanding. The extra information was great. You aren’t in the car driving around for too long either. You get to sample loads of different wines. I would definitely recommend this tour. Phil our tour guide/host/driver was very friendly and provided interesting commentary. Lunch was excellent, accompanied by fine wines. Easy to use, and book. Great afternoon, good guide and nice selection of wineries. Would recommend it for those looking for an easy way to get around a few wineries in an afternoon. Tour was great, long enough to feel value for money but not too long. Great service, easy to use. Good wineries and good amount of samples gives to taste. The hotel I am staying at is Doubletree (Hilton) located at Kawarau Village, 79 Peninsula Road, Queenstown. Is this area included for pick up/drop off? Also, what is the pricing for lunch on the original tour?
